Symbol Omnivent power supply
I have just purchased a 2005 Symbol, I would like to fit a fan over the kitchen area, I know this was a factory option, do you know if the wiring will be in place already?
Thanks

No idea, but just a thought.
A number of members have complained about bashing their heads on the extractor when working in the kitchen. Might be worth checking both its, and your ( ) dimensions before spending the money.

If I recall from my Clubman, the Omnivent replaces the rooflight, and so it's unlikely to pose a head-bashing hazard. The filter (recirculating) hood above some hobs, on the other hand, is a real menace!
As to wiring, I very much doubt if it's in place, concealed. A-S aren't known for such contingency bonuses!

As to height I'm 6 foot ,in old money, and there are 6.5 inches clear above me.
My previous Stardream was pre-wired for all sorts of thing including the fan vent and solar panel including regulator.

Sorry, but I too doubt that they would have put wiring in place, just in case someone wanted to retro-fit the fan.
I must admit that the Omnivent shifts a lot of air out of the van (we had one on the Flair) - be warned though that they take a lot of power even on the lowest setting, so really only viable for long-term ventilation if you're on EHU - they would take a lot out of the leisure battery if not.
