Loss of power
On our first week away in our (Wife tells me off if I put my) Warwick xl, we lost all power. I noticed when switching on the power on the sarget control panel the leisure battery voltage climbed to 16.5 volt before the systems shut down. Checking the voltage on the battery showed a reading of 16.5 volts with the system still shut down. Leisure battery will be cooking soon I think. Disconnected cables from battery and battery now back to normal voltage. Tested voltage on disconnected cables, 20 volts. Site warden was passing and said that solar panels will have 20 volts output, so would suspect regulator faulty. After a bit of rooting around disconnected solar panel wires, reconnected battery cables, and switched systems back on. No solar panel, every thing else working fine. Called dealer service department who said that was the 3rd one in as many weeks. Not sure what would have happened to the leisure battery had it continued all day having 20 volts put into it ?.

Re: Loss of power
Fortunate that you have warranty to cover it, but still an unnecessary inconvenience.
Although it does sound like a defective solar regulator, I can recall something similar 3-4 years ago when the older EC328 controller started to get used with solar in bigger numbers, and the cause was a firmware issue which would cause the Sargent panel to trip out when the solar panel was at full output. Sargent were good enough to update the firmware FOC when I added solar to mine. Even so, it still does exhibit odd behaviour when the solar panel produces output suddenly.
