The normal Thetford locker lock is a Zadi. A barrel removal key is needed to remove a barrel from the lock housing, as shown here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Caravan-Motorhome-Zadi-Set-of-19-Keyed-Alike-Barrels-Barrel-Removal-Key-/192042188638?hash=item2cb69b3f5e:g:9HIAAOSwB09YQLQC It is the red one.
I am not sure if it is needed to put the barrel into the housing, but it probably does.
