I'm guessing they are called stays, the light aluminium struts that allow you to leave the Windows partly open. Mine only hold the window when almost at 90 degrees when I'd like to open them just a few inches. Can they be modified please?

I understand that the window stays can be set at three different positions and this has been the norm on our previous three vans. They can sometimes be irksome to lock in the desired position that means you have to repeatedly lift the window sometimes to it's maximum at varying gusto before it locks. If yours are different from this, they can easily be replaced. Regards.

My 06 Nuevo has, more then likely, the same stays and they have 3 positions which can be irksome to set as Paramedic says. Maybe repeatedly lifting them will free the internal mechanism. If not, replace or remove, a bit of oil down the tubes may free them but wait till all oil drained before putting back on.
