Weight upgrade
Hi just a thought can you upgrade the weight on these panel van con versions? Just looking at the payload it doesn't seen to give a lot. I looked at the "Autosleeper" plate it says
3500kg
6500kg
1, 2100kg
2, 2400kg
Any suggestions?

Re: Weight upgrade
You can, but do you have the correct licence to drive a vehicle which weighs more than 3,500kg?
If you have, you might want to contact [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
It's purely a paper exercise, and rather expensive paper it is too, but it could increase your payload by 250kg or so.
Probably?

SV Tech upgraded mine to 4500kg - as Gromit says, it's a paper exercise

They will be able to give you facts, the rest of us would probably be guessing.

Re: Weight upgrade
Fill in the form on SV Tech web page - they got back to me and I talked to them on the phone.
Very helpful - think the guy was called Gareth that I spoke too.
Once you pay them, they send you the paperwork through and a new weight plate.
Stick the new plate, carefully, onto your door pillar.
Follow their instructions and send off your V5 to Swansea - it comes back 4500kg and you pay less road tax - simples!
Both our vans are the same base models so I ASSUME they can both be uprated to the same weights.
