Stanley the Stanway
We would like to talk to anyone else with a Stanway. How, for example, do you get on with the bed making? We have "redesigned where some of the cushions are stored to give us hanging space in the cupboard by the door. ( my bathrobe and fold up table now go here). But would like to hear if others have some novel ideas.

I know that this is an old post but would be interest in what "redesigning" you have done with the bed cushions.

Re: Stanley the Stanway
Well, I am a solo traveller so my modifications probably will not apply if you travel as a couple.
I found the large table which is used to make up the bed rather heavy so I now have a smaller table which used in conjunction with the drop down flap makes a good size single for me and my dog.
I have removed the coffee maker which takes up valuable worktop space and used double sided tape to hold a ceramic tile covering the screw holes. The tile provides a heat resistant surface for hot pans etc.
I have put some shelves in 3 of the kitchen cupboards. These are made of strong MDF and though high up do give extra storage. I may also put extra shelves in the cupboards in the lounge area. I have the materials to do this but am waiting to see if I need them.
I use the cupboard to right of the sliding door for storage as I don’t need to carry extra cushions to make up a double bed.
I have replaced the Wi-fi rear view camera with a hard wired one which gives rear vision all the time not just when reverse gear is selected.
That’s about it so far.

Re: Stanley the Stanway
I think the bed cushions have been redesigned on later models.
I only have six cushions in all, the three "main" ones from the sofas, plus then three square/rectangle ones that go on the base/leg extensions.
My cushions look nothing like the bed arrangement printed in the manual?!

Re: Stanley the Stanway
I'm interested too in any mods that other Stanway owners have done.
I've put some small 3M sticky hooks in the washroom for facecloths, and some large ones for hanging up towels to dry.
Uprated from 3500KG to 4005KG. Just need the DVLA to stop cocking things up!
I've fitted a Nature Pure QC2 water filter to the cold tap in the kitchen sink: https://generalecology.com/category/marine-rv/product/naturepure_qc_purifier_basic
I've also installed a MiFi, in the cupboard next to the TV amplifier.
Currently working on a mobility scooter platform on the rear for my wifes scooter. Parts courtesy of Armitage - [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Also going to fit a compressor to the rear air suspension, so I can pump it up easier. The weight of the scooter on the back will probably make us sag a bit so a quick pump-up would be really handy. Also useful for boarding ferries with steep ramps, although not so much of an issue due to a short overhang (unlike my last motorhome!)
Future mods that I have planned:
Roof box - tricky one, as I have a Thule awning (I think we all do?) so I need to buy Thule roof rails (which bolt in to the Peugeot roof rack mounting points - so also have to ditch the non-load bearing / styling rails), an adaptor kit for the awning to then connect to the roof rails, roof bars which connect to the rails, then the roof box that attaches to the bars. I'll also then need a collapsable surveyors ladder to reach the box. This isn't going to be a cheap mod :(
I'm also going to fit a Truma iNet box - I do like a gadget!
I'm in two minds with regards to a flyscreen across the sliding door. Perhaps I'll have a better idea of the need for this once I've camped in it through a full summer? Was looking at the Dometic Flytech FT200, seems to be a perfect fit on our vans.
It might take me a year or two to get all this sorted though :)

Oh, and I intend to do something about the reversing camera that is only visible if you have the sat nav mounted on the dash and select reverse gear.
Not ideal... always on, or a manual override switch to a mirror-mounted screen would be ideal.
Incidentally, I've removed my rear view mirror. Didn't see the point in needing to see what was happing in my kitchen while driving down the M6 :)

Re: Stanley the Stanway
Any Stanway owners found a use for the long, thin, cubby hole above the sliding door?!
I can't find anything that fits in there.
Do other AS PVCs also have this cubby hole?
