Re: New Model : Stanway
We went today and the new concept design was a good looking and spacious van.

Re: New Model : Stanway
I particularly like the kitchen layout - seems to be far more work-space than is usual, even in otherwise really
well-equipped vans.
If the production model is as good, it may even tempt me away from my beloved, but now elderly, Rapport!

Rear travel seats with fixed vertical back-rests are really uncomfortable after about 30 minutes, in my experience. The problem is that shaped backrest cushions are no good for making a flat bed.

I agree that the idea of sitting against the back of the driver's seat is worrying. In regard to your comment re the flat bed, I think this is where the Duvalay becomes indispensable!

Sorry to be thick but this forum is my only 'on line social activity'. I thought these were posts and blogs were something else?

Re: New Model : Stanway
I was not referring to sitting against the back of the driver's seat (presumably when parked) I was commenting that the rear travel seats (with seat-belts) will become uncomfortable very soon when travelling.petern wrote:Pete Taylor wrote:Rear travel seats with fixed vertical back-rests are really uncomfortable after about 30 minutes, in my experience. Interesting. Thanks for sharing.
We rather enjoy (and use a lot) the rear exit on our Ford Transit Duetto.
The loss of that (it would seem from the video), is one obvious downside of the new layout.

Re: New Model : Stanway
Is that really the last Stanway comment ?
Jan 2017. We have just pxd our Duetto for a Stanway and are very pleased with the new layout. The Duetto rear doors were a bonus but the extra space in the Stanway makes up for it. Now have defined lounge/wardrobe/kitchen areas within a 6m van conversion. There is a lumbar bolster for the 2 travel seats. However, big difference in the driver/leisure features of the Transit vs Boxer layout up front?

Stanway (Peugot) battery connections
Could some wise member advise me as to the purpose of the loose connector (yellow) in my Stanway (Peugot Boxer) vehicle battery compartment. Thanks
