Re: 1999 symbol manual
I've got all the manuals for my '97 Symphony, many of which may be applicable to the Symbol. Is there anything particular you need to know? I can't copy the AS book as it's comb-bound (mind you most of the comb is breaking off) and I don't have a scanner but I could perhaps photocopy any pages from the instruction books of any of the specific items such as Carver water heater, Electrolux fridge, Carver P4 heater (not sure if you would have a Carver or a Propex). Just let me know what you need.

Hi John
I have a 2000 Harmony.
Have lots of instruction leaflets for fridge, heater etc.
If you let me know anything specific I can scan the details for you.

How do you reset the carver heater?
I can't get the heater to work in my 1999 Symbol. The lights come on and the fan works. After a couple of minutes a red light comes on by the flame symbol. The van was my parents and they said it stopped working when the gas ran out last year. A friend of mine said that you need to press buttons in a particular sequence to reset it. Does anyone know what the procedure is? I don't have a manual. Thanks...

Hi Siobhan,
Welcome to the forum, you are better starting a new thread rather than tacking onto an existing one which is only vaguely related to your problem.
Do you tell us what type of heater it is?
Frank

Hello Frank. It's a carver P4. I've never been on a forum before and couldn't figure out how to start a new thread! Do you know what I can do to reset the heater? Thanks Siobhan

Re: 1999 symbol manual
Hi Siobhan,
Mine is a Propex so I cannot help you there.
Mine will not start if the leisure battery is low, or if there is no gas supply. Yours will no doubt have these same fail-safes, so until someone else comes along I suggest that you check that the battery is fully charged and that gas is getting to the unit.

Might be worth getting a Habitation service, which will cover the gas appliances etc. It will at least ensure they are safe and working.

The gas was on but the bottle was empty. I feel like a complete wally now! Thanks.
