AS Burford Water Pump - Where is it?
I can hear it but I can't find it.
I thought it was behind the wooden panel underneath the cooker but photo's only appear to show the cut-off valve for the water filler.
Any help would be apprecaiated.

Probably a submersible pump in the tank?

If you don't have an Owner's Manual, you can download it from the A/S website.
According to page 7-1 "A Whale submersible water pump is fitted in the freshwater tank of your vehicle."

So it's going to be difficult for me to photograph it for Marquis .
Thankyou for the quick feedback.

If there is a problem with the pump ask them rather than drop the tank to repair it to put in a hatch. Marquis Plymouth did this for me, it was cheaper and easier for them and is one of the best things they have done... unfashionable as it may be to say so they have done a lot of good things over the years for me!

Speak the truth as you find it Hog. I think the Marquis experience depends very much upon which branch you use! They are not all charlatans!groundhog wrote:If there is a problem with the pump ask them rather than drop the tank to repair it to put in a hatch. Another alternative for the pump is to have a Shurflo fitted. A far better pump, and a lot less prone to various problems, but I doubt if they would do it under warranty.
The hatch idea is also a good suggestion as it would allow much easier replacement of a duff submersible pump, and access for tank cleaning and maintenance of the gauge sender studs.

There is probably a simple and obvious answer but I must say I'm a bit baffled (not unusual these days ) why Marquis want a photograph of the water pump, what will this tell them they don't already know?

I guess it's because Marquis South Yorkshire didn't have much to do with AS before they became a Marquis branch and the people there are not as knowledgeable on AS product as branches that have dealt with AS for decades.
Apparently, the water pump pressure sensor is separate and apparently, the following photo is what they needed to determine which pump they need to order.

Sorry. Tried to reveal your photo but failed. Gromit.
I'll try a link then.

Re: AS Burford Water Pump - Where is it?
Thanks for that. It just seemed to me that, given how relatively new your vehicle is, the branch of Marquis could have got the info from Mark Burdett at A/S. I hope you get the problem sorted out soon

That photo is of the solenoid in the water inlet circuit, not the pressure switch that controls the internal pump/

Re: AS Burford Water Pump - Where is it?
Thank you all for your feedback, especially Peter.
Does anyone know the model number of the water pump in the cold water tank?
My suspicion is that the water pump is failing and the flow rate/pressure is dropping, but so far the pressure switch under the bed had been changed and adjusted.
Only time will tell and knowing my luck on day 1096 of ownership we'll have an answer
