Haynes manual for VW Trooper ?

Does a Haynes manual exist for a 1998 VW Trooper Autosleeper 2.5 diesel ? If not, is there a machanical manual that comes with the van ? If yes to any of these questions , how do I get hold of one ? I've tried E-Bay and other assorted sites.

Hi Williat.. Haynes don't offer a manual for the VW T4 Transporter despite much interest, a petition was started sometime on the T4 forum to try and persuade Haynes but to no avail

It would be useful, I wonder why one was never produced?

I bought one of these to cover the vehicle.
The camper equipment is covered by the Autosleepers manual.
There are other manuals on eBay but not Haynes.

I am a member of various T4 forums and have heard the other T4 manuals available are fairly useless (in comparison to Haynes) - that's of course other people opinion!

What do y'all think?

Haynes are the best of course, but as they don't do one we have use what is available I found the that one I have is fairly concise and informative but not as good as a haynes would be

My understanding is Haynes have considered a manual, support and lobbying from the T4 forum has helped but not enough it seems.. there excuse is there are too many Transporter variants to make it worthwhile producing a manual. The Haynes manuals today ain't what they used to be when I was younger.....

I have a Brooklands manual and agree it's completely useless. The best thing I found wa to use the technical sections on the T4 Forum. Some of the advice with photos is as good if not better than a Haynes manual. I've done all my discs and pads, oil changes and fuel filter changes with the laptop close to me !
