Weight limits Empty Weight limits

Post by seanroberts037 Sun Apr 16, 2017 7:43 am

Morning all and Happy Easter,

We've recently had a tow bar fitted in order to tow my wife's Peugeot 107 on a braked a-frame, I was also wondering in regards to weight if I was to tow a small trailer, does this get factored in if I took the motlrhome to a weigjbridge? We have had it also uplated from 3500kg to 3700kg and we have a auto-sleeper Broadway FB?

Cheers

Weight limits Empty Re: Weight limits

As far as I'm aware, all you have to do in terms of direct loading is to add the trailer noseweight in to the overall van load and to the rear axle load, and make sure it doesn't overload by either of those measures.

And then you have to ensure that the weight of the van + van load + car + trailer weight does not exceed the maximum train weight, as shown on the van's load plate. I ~think~ it's fairly unlikely you'll exceed the latter - for example on my little T5 the gross train weight limit is 5.3 tonnes - but it needs to be checked anyway.
