Toilet skylight water ingress.
I found water dripping onto the toilet seat from the toilet skylight, which is one of the push up types. I have renewed the silicone sealant around the outside of the unit but am not totally convinced that the problem has been rectified. On looking inside I noticed that the two small plastic catches at the rear side were not catching, so I have repositioned the them so that they do their job. Today I have found condensation on the yellow plastic when I open the flyscreen, so I wondered about removing the screws to see what I can find if I remove the plastic trim. On undoing one screw it is obviously a special fitting and worries me that I will not be able to put the thing back together. Can anyone tell me how these screws work.
Also has anyone other ideas about the initial water ingress or the condensation.
Thanks.

I dont know about the water ingress but find a decent De-humidifier deals with any condensation in my van. Usually, one positioned either end, leaving the bathroom door ajar, does the trick.
Hope this isnt 'old hat' to you.

Interesting. Which de-humidifier do you use?
I have used a small oil filled radiator in the past and indeed I have put it on today.

Maplin are selling a small 54Watt mains powered dehumidifier for £49.50
More than adequate for a motorhome set on a timer for a daily stint.
Removes air borne moisture and banishes condensation. Could be used with a tube to take the condensate out of the van without the need to dispose manually.

You mention a special screw fitting ... It is possible that they are Torx screws, they certainly are on our bathroom rooflight, have a look online for images of Torx head screws... Torx Screwdrivers are readily available at DIY stores or online..
