Bedding for a Bourton
Hi
Have just taken the plunge on a 2014 Bourton. Looking for bedding to match the van, duvet cover, pillow cases, bottom sheet. Where can I buy these items?

Re: Bedding for a Bourton
We've always used "normal" bedding, ie any matching pillowcases and duvet cover. I usually pick fairly neutral colours anyway, so it all (vaguely!) matches with the van. Bottom sheet is usually a creamy colour, so matches most colours.
Not aware of any bedding specifically sold for MHs, but there could be I suppose. My sister-in-law has a narrow boat and there is a website which sells bedding specifically for those, but at a price!

There are lots of possible suppliers out there. Mr Google can come up with their details for you. My starter for ten is to try Jonic, Snuglux or Duvalay.

I highly recommend Duvalay.

We just use a double sleeping bag in our Bourton, you can normally find a colour to match your upholstery colour, hope you enjoy your Bourton, we love ours, for base vehicle servicing we use City west commercials on the Sowton ind. estate Exeter who are Mercedes main dealers.

Hi. Thanks for the advice. I live in Exeter so will be looking for someone re servicing etc. Do you have any knowledge re the gauge for grey water. It shows full all the time. I'm told it's a common fault but is there an easy fix??

My gauge also reads full, sometimes it only shows half full, it does not bother me much as the drain is always open to drain into a waste container, in the search box enter water gauge problems and you should get a few threads on the problem.

Thanks Don, I collect the van soon but I'm advised there's an alarm on it to warn the tank is full? That could be a pain but I guess you can switch that off!
Looking forward to my adventures in the van

Enjoy your van, we use ours all year round, the Merc is a great base vehicle, I am sure you will do a few mods to the habitation side, this forum is a great source of information, whatever you want to know there will be someone that will know the answer.

I think you will find that bedding supposedly for motor-homing is more expensive that the stuff you would use at home. No idea why!
We've just bought new gear from the huge Sainsbury's near us, also available on-line.
In place of a bottom sheet we use a sleeping bag unzipped, in fact I've recently cut off the (full-length) zip; this gives us a sort-of thicker base sheet.
We also use our Merc all year round. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours.

Re: Bedding for a Bourton
Due to a moment of senior stupidity we both forgot to pack the Duvet in the van for our Christmas markets weekend away. Not a problem we were staying near a huge retail park in York so we bought another one and a set of cover and pillow cases. We got a 13 Tog Duvet and a bedding set, cover and pillow cases from Wlco for less than £20.. It is supposed to be King size, it is a huge duvet that completely fills the bed on our Rienza wall to wall. We keep a double sleeping bag to open out as a base rather than a sheet.
We had frost on the van two mornings but we were warm and snugly.
