Using the oven/grill in a Duetto
Hi there,
I am enjoying my first camper after 7 caravans and have come across a quick question.
The oven / grill has the heat overhead when using it as an oven. Are you restricted in what you can oven cook i.e. only things with lids?? Or does it act as an ordinary oven?
Many thanks for any thoughts on this,
Allyson

Hi there,
I use mine like an "ordinary oven".
It takes a bit of getting used to so kick of with something simple like a beef casserole for the old-man before going for the cheese soufflé for honoured guests.
Height and position is critical to avoid drying stuff out instead of cooking it!
For roasts I add a bit of water to the tin, cover with foil and cook for a bit longer than normal - using the extra time with the roast uncovered to get a bit of colour to it.
Enjoy.
Best regards,
