Cranking down handle for spare Wheel
We have just acquired our AS Amethyst with its underslung spare wheel.
The Handle that was supplied to crank down the spare wheel carrier doesn't appear to be long enough and looking though the hole with a torch, the nut size looks wrong also.
Any idea where i could get hold of the right one ?
Regards - Stokerman

Re: Cranking down handle for spare Wheel
Is the Amethyst on a 2015 or later Boxer? If so, there's a kit under pax seat which has the necessary tools to fit from the offside of the vehicle, whereby to wind down the spare. Getting the spare off the suspension cable is another matter (the system changed with the 2014 facelift). I wrote a thread on this Forum to explain.
If yours is pre facelift, I don't know the system but undoubtedly colleagues on the Forum will, and will soon respondjm

The Amethyst is built on a Transit so hopefully a member with a Transit Monocoque such as a Legend can help.
