T4/Trophy exhaust soils awning
My next query ...
My first (and only) attempt at starting Betty up alongside a drive away resulted in (if you cannot guess from the topic title) some splattering and soiling of the awning from the exhaust.
So can I ask, who has also suffered this and how has it been overcome? Perhaps some sort of 'go faster' tailpipe attachment that can be used to alter the trajectory of soot to a downward direction
Your comments eagerly awaited before I make another mess and thanks in advance!

Hi Tizzie, perhaps a simple solution being a piece of board positioned to act as a deflector of the exhaust? Regards

Yes, you can get curved exhaust tips, which you should be able to angle away a bit - e.g.:

Beware - the size in that listing may not be correct for yours, but you can get them in all common exhaust pipe sizes.
If that's not curved enough, I'm sure I've seen them much more so - but I can't see any of that type listed on ebay specifically for a T4.

Hi Tizzie it may be worth mentioning that a cold exhaust might splatter more because there's a lot of water that gets blown out of the cold pipework before the system has become hot enough to emit the water as steam vapour. This might mean that the fix may only need to be temporary when the engine is cold, perhaps.
