Exhaust hangers Empty Exhaust hangers

Anyone had a problem with Exhaust rubbers on a Peugeot based van?

Our's is a 2016 with 18k on the clock from buying it new in 2016, I was told at the MOT in January that they picked it up and issued an advisory that several hangers were split.
So today I had a look, after lying under the van my head was spinning like I had a night on the beer, so quick call to Motor factors then garage who did MOT, was told there are 8! hangers, so I have booked it in when we return next week after 5 nights in Dorset.

Just wondering if others have had split rubbers, exhaust ones that is, as the ones on my Focus never needed replacing or the system when I sold it at 12 years old.

Garage told me "things not made like they were" and these vans are build cheap.

I shall take some HD wire with us next week just incase.

I carry a stock of them in the van along with a couple of mounting tools as they perish on a regular basis. Any time the van is parked up on dry grass surfaces I tend to go underneath and check them.

The exhaust on a Boxer is considerably larger, longer and heavier than on a Focus and so the mounting rings are subject to more stresses.

Good idea, our drive is shingle and laying down as I said makes my head spin.

I do carry spare mirror lens.

These are the sort of tools I use (NB may currently be available cheaper elsewhere e.g. ebay or local motor spares factors):

WD40 is also useful for helping get the new ones on.
