Can anyone recommend a good cover? or one to avoid if sadly you purchased and were disappointed with it?

Thank you

Taylormade do a good one. Far thicker and sturdier material than the very flimsy Fiamma one - which is the only other type I have experienced. It was rubbish!!!

Dave smile!

Yes, we have one of the Taylormade ones too. Very good quality, much heavier grade than the Fiamma one which we also have (now becoming a bit tatty). It is a shame the Taylormade one doesn't have a clear plastic pocket on the outside to take the large red and white reflector required  in France and Spain, otherwise we would use it more than we do. A lot of the time we don't use a cover, this allows us to use the reflector attached to our bikes with expanders. More straight forward sometimes, as we get older!!

I have just bought a Fiamma cover so too early days to make an opinion. But my first main concern was that it could tear where it stretched over the bike handlebars. A couple of tennis balls cut and pushed over the handlebar ends seems to have cured that ...... so far.

We had a Taylormade one, well made and not one of the flimsy types that would tear if you looked at it.

Never used one in France Pete, during at least 20 trips with the bikes - in common with most French Camping Caristes!! shrugg

I have an alternative. Will post a photo later.

Of more interest to those who use a towball mounted bike carrier. All will become clear.

Hopefully! scratch head

We have one from bags4everything that is waterproof heavier material, with lots of secure fastenings. Having had a few over the years this is by far the best we have found.

We leave the cover off when driving because we can then see out of the rear window

I can confirm that the Fiamma bike cover is rubbish. Mine cost £35, and after 2 trips around Germany (total time in use about 8 weeks), it is thin, torn, stained and pretty much useless. Even the clear pocket has become brittle and cracked. Very disappointing!
