1999 Duetto - Hot Water problem

Hi all - as a newbie Duetto owner I have just been checking over all the internal systems and all appear to be sound except that I can't get any water through the hot taps! I've tried filling up the water tank and opening all the hot taps including the shower in case there was an air lock but nothing comes through, although water is gushing out from the cold taps ok. I've opened the external drain on the Carver heater and water is pouring from that as well. Short of dismantling the hot taps has anyone got any ideas/suggestions what the cause may be? Hi Jock,
Not got the same van as you, but had about four models over 20 years, common to them all I found, after the water was drained and refilled, cold run fine, bot hot needs a little encouragement.

What I do is, turn on the hot tap furthest from the heater, place your hand over the tap outlet to build up some pressure, release it (should be a rush of air) and repeat it until the water flows, usually 5 or 6 times, once its done, should be o.k after that, until you drain the heater again.
