First Night in our New Warwick Duo
Slept ok but.......
Can't get the toilet to flush (toilet pump is working, and yes there is water in tank)
AS hadnt fitted a curtain tie correctly (2 male clips instead of a male and female)
We haven't fully mastered the HW and Heating controls, but are making progress
Any suggestions on the C400 series toilet would be appreciated before I go flying down the A50

Re: First Night in our New Warwick Duo
When you say the pump is working presumably you mean you can hear the electric pump motor running? Do you know whether the pump is pumping water, or just air? If it's pumping air it means water isn't around it and if it's actually got water in it then it must be pumping it to somewhere. Any signs of leaks anywhere?
I suppose the pump motor might be working but the impellers might be faulty/not connected and therefore not turning to shift the water.

When my flush stopped working i took the pump out and turned the impeller as it had seized up.

When my pump won't, I give it a slap over the button area with the flat of my hand, usually cures it.

Re: First Night in our New Warwick Duo
If the impeller sticks the motor won't turn and therefore you can't hear it working. so as Roger can hear the pump it can't be a stuck impeller.
I don't want to be a harbinger of doom but looking at the parts diagram there's really nowhere for air to come from if the tank is full and the pump immersed. The pump then has a relatively short hose to where it connects to the bowl. I'm left wondering if the hose connection has come off at either the bowl or the pump end. Have you taken the cassette out and had a look inside the cavity in case it's leaking into there?

Re: First Night in our New Warwick Duo
I think the impellor is only a friction fit on the pump shaft, so a sticking impellor would allow the pump to "run".

It's a possibility if that's the case but when the impeller on mine stuck a year or so back the motor wouldn't run at all. I formed the impression the impeller was bonded to the drive rod.

Re: First Night in our New Warwick Duo
Sucking eggs and all that, but how have you determined that the flush tank is full? If you have just looked at the filler after removing the yellow cap and seen water, that does not mean the system has any water in it. It is the sight glass fitted on the right of the access door which shows water level and that should be full to the top.
If the sight glass is full, then something really weird is going on, because if you can hear the pump and no flush water is coming out, then there must be a major assembly fault within the toilet (a Thetford build fault rather than an AS build fault).

Hi Roli, yes I don't have a clue other than the impeller theory ,but at least you have normal water pump use [ I guess] ,so just flush your toilet with a mug of water from your sink ,until you can get it sorted! Enjoy your new van , our teething problems were a lot worse if that's of any comfort, but youll get there!! Kind regards Paul

Thanks guys,
Will have another look tomorrow and report back but one thing Spospe reminded me - I didnt notice any pink water in the sight tube and yes I was looking in the filler when I decided it was full.

Thanks again for the info. I drained what water was in the tank, released the sight glass and bled water through. After this topped up and loo working ok

Glad that all is now well, Roli. But intrigued by your reference to a sight glass, because I can't find one on my 2015 Nuevo!
The old Clubman had one, and very useful it was. But I've just been out to check the Nuevo, and I removed the cassette but could see nothing like a sight glass in there. And I looked in the little filler orifice just above the cassette cupboard door, and of course there's nowt there either.
Could you please describe where the sight tube is on your van, please? And if any other owners of early 2015 Nuevos read this, perhaps you can help? Feel and idiot at not finding it!!
