Water Tank Sensor
On filling the on board water tank on our 1997 Auto Sleeper Symphony I noticed that the level indicator was not increasing as the fluid level rose in tank !. Once I switched off the water supply, I pushed the button on the indicator panel and the needle went up from 0% to 100% full and back again to 0% ( as it does to show that there is power to indicator). any one any ideas ?

Re: Water Tank Sensor
Hi
Sounds as if it's working to me.
Mine only reads when the button is pressed. If yours is the same it makes sense for the meter to read 100% when you press the button with a full tank.
If you look at the control panel manual (paragraph 3) it confirms that that is how it works.

Thanks for the reply, I am sure that last year the level indicator showed a reading when different levels of water was in the tank, I will have a look when I get back from work. Once again thanks.

Yup! sounds like its working OK. It should also indicate leisure battery condition while your finger is on the button - green for charged - red for flat.
EDIT: Do you mean that if you keep the button pressed, it goes up and then drops or it drops when you take your finger off?

Re: Water Tank Sensor
Don't know but was told by previous owner of my van that he had had a similar
problem and it came down to the fact of hard water. He put a descaler in the tank and it worked fine

OK, if it gives a reading while the button is pressed, then goes back to zero when the button is released, then its working OK.

I think the hard water was just a coincidence. The probes may have needed descaling and that has now been done.
