Fuel economy 2 litre petrol
Hi all,
Can anybody let me know what kind of economy I could expect from a 2 litre VW Trident?
Thanks!

Re: Fuel economy 2 litre petrol
i have a 1992 a/s on a talbot with a 2 litre peugeot engine.she weighs 3.5 tons on the road.on a reasonable run i get just short of 28 miles per gallon,so you should be looking at at least that if that is any help.

Hi, my 1999 A/S Symphony (Peugeot Boxer 2.0 petrol van conversion) seems to do around the 30 mpg mark, driven sympathetically (cruising around 55mph). Hope this helps!
Cheers

Re: Fuel economy 2 litre petrol
Well - the OP asked abut fuel consumption on a 2ltr VW not a Talbot Express or a Peugeot Boxer, so unless you know something I don't, the comparison isn't valid. The Talbot is carburettor and the Boxers are EFI, don't know what the VW is???
I must have a very heavy right foot! 18 mpg around town and around 26 mpg on a run.[which has no bearing on VW economy]

Hi,
Welcome to the lead boots club, my 2001 petrol symbol used to average 23mpg, less when hammered, never much more and no difference towing a trailer,
Chris
