hi we have a jack russell & a spanish terrier when we travel i put the single seat down
to make settee put on blanket,+dog beds  i have made a frame to fit between wardrobe and passenger seat
the frame is covered with plastic garden mesh 2 wooden arms  open and hooked to 2 hooks at the back
at night i take off, arms collasable and put it away it s great dogs cant wander around while driving
i fitted 2 small grab handles 1either side of sliding door to fit leads to it work,s plenty of room for them the dogs are happy
so am i,

Dog restraints

In both my previous motorhomes I had two rear seats with safety belts so I purchased the appropriate fitting to use with a dog harness.

I now have a Nuevo EK which of course only has seat belts for the driver and passenger

We are both particularly safety conceous and wish to give our border terrier (George) the same protection we have when wearing our seat belts.

Is possible to fit a extra seat belt point behind the cab area so I could use my dog harness

Next few trips either the dog or the wife stays at home.

We use a harness for dog walks anyway, so keep her in that and connect it with a webbing strap looped through the bed frame.

It secures her well but with enough slack for her to stand and stretch out now and again, but in an impact it should hold her as secure as we are in seat belts.

I'd never drive with the dog loose, in an impact they would be badly injured or worse if thrown down the length of the van.
