Yellow light?
Hi and thanks for letting us join.
We have a 1956 duetto so far very pleased.
Im hoping that you might be able to help us.?
We have a wooden plynth above steering wheel on the dash board, and in that strip we have two oblong small windows.
When driving the small window on the left has a yellow light that comes on and off cannot recognise the sign.
No light in other window?
Took it to my local garage, they did not know for sure,,but said it might be the fan cutting in or out????
Have checked rad water.oil,steering oil.window wash.etc.
Would be greatful of any input.
Many thanks.
Mike

As above, we have no way of knowing which version of Transit you're referring to, but AFAIK none prior to 2000 had electric rad fans from the factory, so if it has something other than a viscous or fixed rad fan it's an aftermarket addition.
If you post a photo then you will know pretty quickly from other owners here whether it's a factory fitting or not. If not, you're probably going to have to trace the wiring yourself, or if you are still in contact, ask the previous owner.

Re: Yellow light?
Hi there,
If it has an outline that looks like a small oblong it is most probably the "Water in Fuel" alarm.
Mine flicks on and off regularly. When I first had the van I used to religiously drain the fuel filter and NOT ONCE did I find any water!
I now ignore it, but if it ever comes on and stays on I will drain the fuel filter yet again.
In your case, I suggest that you have a quick look just to make sure that there isn't any water in the fuel filter.
Hope this helps.
Best regards.

Dutto
I had the problem of the light flickering; most alarmingly when crossing from Sweden into Finland over the Arctic Circle. After an amount of faffing about, I changed the water-in-fuel sensor at the bottom of the fuel filter and all was well for the next 6 years and 60,000+ miles (there never was any water in the fuel).

Hi Mike.
Hopefully something suggested here will solve your question. I believe your vehicle is 1995?
Cheers.
