Look too good to be true?
A friend of mine is looking at this:

Does it look legit? looks a very good price to me considering what we paid for a 1997!

It's probably a home conversion, definitely not an AS. If it's been well fitted it could be a good buy but it will always be a home conversion.

Re: Look too good to be true?
I'd guess it spent a significant part of its pre-conversion life doing intergalactic miles as a delivery van, because there is no mention of mileage. I wouldn't buy without a very close look at the history (to make sure it hasn't been "on holiday" in Ireland) and I'd want an MOT with it...

Re: Look too good to be true?
as the driver of a "self build Transit" I would agree that that is a self build. Done well they can be very good but bad ones are terrible. Mine is sort of half way, reasonably well done but no instruction manuals or handbook.
Many self builds are high mileage "white vans" with written off caravan interiors inside. Looking at the upholstery I would say this is the case here.
Bear in mind, it is cheap to buy but won't hold its value like a genuine factory build. Definitely buyer beware.
