Service Centre
Hello campers! Yesterday,I rose at silly o'clock and took The Snail down to Willersey for my appointed time of 10.30.Needed a couple of jobs doing,Mark had said to look in even if I was early. So,I parked on the village hall car park, had a brew, pot noodle and doughnut ( I know how to live eh? ) and reported at 9 of the clock.Mark came out,we went over the work list and he said we'll whip it in straightaway! Whilst waiting, I moseyed up to the village stores to check their menu out for later. Then I paid Allan a visit in spares and managed to acquire the only small table he had in the old wood tone.He certainly knows his onions!Sadly,he couldn't help with the small cutlery drawer I need for under the drainer.Anyway,I was finished for 11.15.So glad I took it to A/S,well worth the 250 mile round trip, lovely place and I cannot praise the staff highly enough.Oh,the all day breakfast was very nice too!

Re: Service Centre
Glad you had a good experience at the AS service centre... I've found Mark very helpful and accommodating, think they'd be lost without him, the other guy Pat always appears to be sat on his backside at his desk doing not a lot, of course I could be doing him an injustice just my observation having been there a number of times over the past few years.
At least Mark is on the ball
My last visit sadly they didn't meet all my expectations due to the shabby work carried out and the attitude of one of the fitters, which was far from professional or showing any sign of care or concern.

Hi paul, according to Allan,it's the narrower one of the two,7 and something inches wide to slot into the under top channels.

Re: Service Centre
I take your point CC.The main reason for my visit was to have the mushroom vent replaced above the overcab.Other places are available but don't seem to be in abundance to my local. Also,I had discussed the job with Mark and decided if anyone was going to be pulling the interior trim out,A/S were best qualified. The mushroom was uv degraded and I had helped it on its way in an arboretum in Nottingham last year. In my defence,Mark did say that the plastic was very brittle, after 15 years I suppose.Anyway,he was quite diplomatic.

I'll check for you but we are off in the van tomorrow for a week, so may be next weekend before I can find it.Lofty wrote:Hi paul, according to Allan,it's the narrower one of the two,7 and something inches wide to slot into the under top channels.

Re: Service Centre
Mark and his team have always given me 100% service over the years I have had Autosleeper vans.
Lovely part of the country and I always enjoy a meal in the New Inn if I'm stopping overnight.

Lofty
I've searched the garage and only found one twice the width you need. I know we used this wide one in the Symphony instead of the narrow one, so must have swopped them back again when we sold the Symphony, so sorry but I can't help. That one on Ebay I gave the link to appears to be the right size so perhaps you could get one from there.
