Television
Although I said I'd never do it I decided I might get a tele for the grandchildren. I don't want to go down the way of getting an aerial on the roof so has anyone got any ideas.

How old are they, would they be better off with YouTube on a tablet?

No. They love their computers. I keep them off them. I can play DVDs on my old computer for them but they watch tele a lot as well. Ages 9 12 and 14.

The Avtex aerial gets a lot of praise and can be attached by suckers or clamped to a pole.

We use our Avtex 3000 to support our roof mounted Status aerial if the signal is restricted and line of sight is required.

Re: Television
How high do you have to put the aerial. I presume it goes through the window.

Rose, I've got a magnetic aerial. You stick it out of the window and magnet it to the van. I've never used it, it was a present, and I don't need it now. I know a couple of people who use them. You're welcome to it. It's quite heavy so won't be cheap to post though. Otherwise I'll be at Stratford from the 13th April and could bring it.

We're there until Monday 18th. I've also got the Status aerial and pole. You can get a clamp thing which sticks on the side of the van to hold it up. I would be looking to sell that, though, for £30. I'm getting married in April and we've got an all singing all dancing van so I'm getting rid of a lot of my stuff. End of an era
