The Dorset (and other 'County' names) are specials for the Marquis chain of dealerships, owned by the Autosleepers Group. Usually they are the same as AS models but with a higher spec such as air conditioning on the roof.

Thanks for your reply sounds like its a normal symbol with a few bits n bobs extra chose it because the flat floor seams more practical and thanks for the quick reply and the welcome

Hi Wakywanderer.
Yes as the others said a Symbol with aircon on the roof.
Good choice though you should just enjoy.

In 2013 A/S made radical changes to the Symbol.

Out went the high GRP roof and in came the standard Peugeot lower metal roof. In order to allow sufficient headroom they had to abandon the false floor and use the van's normal lower floor, hence the step from the cab. The fridge is positioned over the rear wheelarch and there isn't a fridge made that would accommodate the extra height of wheelarch that the lower floor entailed, hence they left the fridge at its original level which meant it was higher than the rest of the kitchen worktop. I somehow doubt that the new configuration, with its lower floor would allow them to use the GRP lining for the washroom, so to save cost they reverted to leaving it lined in wallboard. At the same time they fitted an underslung gas tank which did away with the need for the gas cylinder cupboard and thereby gave extra leg room for the nearside single bed. This plus updating the roof lockers and installing a microwave reinvigorated the Symbol design, with some gains and some losses.

The Dorset carried on using the old layout with the high roof and flat floor, along with a microwave being added and the Marquis upholstery fabrics and habitation aircon unit.
