Nuevo Cooker Electric hot plate
On a 2013 Nuevo ES . Three gas and one electric hot plates on the cooker hob. Electric plate does not come on. Has anyone any idea as to what may be the cause and how can it be remedied ? Thanks Dave H

Hot plate is controlled by MCD 1 on PSU, is it ON?

Have you already checked the obvious?
e.g. EHU plugged in?
other 240V appliances working ok?
fuse/trip OK?
Has it been working OK and suddenly stopped or has it never worked?
Any more info that would help us to help you ...

Is it plugged in ? Ours has a 13 amp socket and plug at the back of the pan locker under the oven. I do unplug it occasionally to use the socket and then forget to plug it back in again.
If it is plugged in the perhaps the fuse in the plug has gone ?

Wow that's a quick solution! Thanks for your help. Removed all the pans from the locker and there was the switch in the off position. We have ignition!! Thanks again, isn't it great when the answer to a problem is so simple. What a relief.

Ah Ha! What Dave H didn't say was that the two of us spent some time this morning in his new van, trying to find out how to bring on the electric heating; the microwave; and the electric hob. We both have a NuevoES.
I knew about the heating switch inside the wardrobe; I'd forgotten about the switch in the void beneath the microwave; and I had no idea that there was a socket beneath the oven, amidst the pots and pans.
So I echo DaveH's thanks. Needless to say, we couldn't find any reference to those three controlling switches in the handbook.
Yet again it's the ASOF to the rescue!

Re: Nuevo Cooker Electric hot plate
In our last van, where we had the same socket under the oven, I found it perfect for plugging the Remoska into. I used a short extension lead which rested neatly on the shelf formed by dropping the grill front down.
In this van we have installed the extension lead permanently from the top of the two plugs to the right of the sink. The wire runs along behind the pelmet beneath the cupboards and the socket is stuck to the bathroom wall, above where the Remoska it, on the glass oven top.
Very handy.

I was puzzled by this last post. I had to Google "what is a Remoska". Looks like a useful addition to the van facilities and possibly quite a difference to the washing up.

Remoska: the number one best gadget for the motorhome. Utterly brilliant. In 9 years I have never had a failure.
I bought this one from the Czech website who name I cannot remember. It was a fraction of the Lakeland price and came in a choice of 4 colours and was delivered with a few days of ordering.
Got it ! The link is:

So did I! I've forwarded a link to the Chief Catering Officer. Mind you, another 3kg to carry....

Thanks for those links. Quite a selection of models and something we will have a look at once we have discovered the best way of storing what we already use in this van. It was a downsize so some juggling to do!
