Re: Kitchen tap on AutoSleeper Stratford
As there are two separate pipes (hot and cold) to the tap, there must be a blockage between the mixer part of the tap and the water outlet. I'm not familiar with the tap to advise how to dismantle it, but if you can post a photograph to identify the tap then someone will know how.

Is there a micro switch to the kitchen tap that is faulty.

The Stratford has a submersible whale pump in the fresh water tank controlled by a pressure switch. There are no micro switches on the taps. The pump starts when a tap is opened allowing water pressure to reduce and stops again after the tap is closed and the pressure builds up again.artheytrate wrote:Is there a micro switch to the kitchen tap that is faulty.

If this is the 'chrome swivel' tap that is widely used by AS then it is pretty easy to open the upper part. There will be a small diameter plastic plug somewhere on the top lever. This conceals a small grub screw with either a screwdriver slot or allen key location. Slacken or remove this screw and the lever will lift off. It may need some persuasion.
You will now see a fairly large diameter brass nut, under which you will find the cartridge that controls the hot/cold mix and the flow rate. Remove this cartridge. Give the water pump switch a brief touch. If you get an eyeful its good news. Peter is correct and you need a new cartridge (Ebay) If not, the blockage is somewhere close to the pump. I know not where. Ask AS !!
