Van Cover
Hi all,
As this is our first winter of owning a camper (symbol) we are considering buying and using a cover to protect it from the worst of the weather.
We intend to continue to use it occasionally during the winter so putting on and taking off would need to be straight forward and not take too long.
Your experience and advice / ideas would be gratefully received.
thanks
Carver

Re: Van Cover
Hi Carver
Tried a cover on my 59 Symbol some years ago, its fine when its dry and no wind, its a different story when its cold wet and windy.
Newer modern covers may have improved, so don't let me put you off.

Re: Van Cover
I personally wouldn`t bother, especially if you are going to use it through the winter, have a cover on the caravan, and what a palaver that is, also when very windy the cover can rub on the paint work, if taking it off when wet where do you put it ?
I find if it has wax on the van, and Silver Screens on , which keep windscreen clear, lovely when wanting to drive off, last night I closed all blinds and put the oil radiator on frost setting. not much trouble when wanting to use the van. best wishes. The van will be fine, after all the motorhomes on dealer forecourts are not covered.

Re: Van Cover
If you do decide to use a cover, don't forget the aerial on the roof if you have one fitted, so easy to break it.
