Autosleeper Rambler 1992 - HELP!! Empty Autosleeper Rambler 1992 - HELP!!

Post by EagleMD Tue Oct 18, 2011 6:02 pm

Hello Everyone. I am new to the site (joined today!). My boyfriend and I have just purchased a Peugeot Talbot Rambler Autosleeper 1992. It is a beauty, in great condition but its a bit heavy to drive for me on the smaller roads. We wondered whether anyone on this forum had managed to do a conversion to power steering and if so,,, how much are we looking at paying and a point in the right direction would be a great help!!! We are really excited about our purchase and just cant wait to get away in it to try it out!!

Thank you!!

Hi EagleMd and welcome to the Forum
Can't help you with your power steering query but I'm sure someone who can will be along soon.
Cheers
Stevo

Hi I think you would be looking at £2000+. So not really an option on a vehicle of this age.

It helps to increase the front tyre pressures by a few lbs.

Apparently for £600 you can have a power steering conversion fully fitted or DIY £400.

Hi James,
Quite a few of my members have had this conversion done and they all think it's brilliant up!
However, the original post is nearly two years old so the chances are that EagleMD has got their van sorted by now. content

How about posting a bit about yourself and your van in the member's intro section?
