Nuevo ES 2008 charger
Has anybody experienced this and got a remedy?
With mains connected and charger switch 'ON' the touch screen display is OK but when changing charge from HAB to VEH the display briefly shows the software version and the whole thing goes to default settings with AS display.
This also happens when pressing the 'DRAIN' area on Systems screen.
This means that the VEH battery can't be charged from the on board charger!
With charger switch "OFF" the touch screen display goes completely blank and can't be awakened until charger is "ON" and it then returns to default.
When mains switched off, charger ON the touch screen again goes blank and to default.
I also recently found that the leisure battery was down to 8.5 V following only 2 or 3 days from full charge. I have recharged it with a separate CTEC charger and so far it appears to be holding

I'd do a reboot on the control panel I think, not sure if your panel is the same as our previous 2007 Nuevo but if it is you just prise off the surround, drop the two screws and jiggle the panel forward, on the rear of the board there should be a little push in reset button (or just disconnect the power chord then re-connect)
If I've misunderstood your post then apologies...
I'm sure someone else will come to the rescue

Assuming you have checked all of the fuses and both batteries are O.K,the only thing I can think of is to replace the small Lithium battery located in the MES control unit, remove the unit as Cruising comet described to you
If you have a users manual, look at page 7-14, battery number CR1620.

Thanks Cruising Comet and burlingtonboaby. very helpful and have tried reset although no reset button, but disconnect/reconnect did not cure it, so will try burlingtonboaby's suggestion of renew lithium battery especially as I have not had to do it before in its 7 years!
