We used a Fiamma 180 box, on a adapted cycle carrier. Max carry load is 37 kg, which is more than enough to carry all the odds and Sod's. Problem is that as I understand, they do not manufacture any more, but are available sometimes on eBay.180 is a good size , as it fits easily onto the r/h rear door. They also do a 360, but this version covers both doors , and not sure is the doors can support the weight. Good hunting.

Look at the Westfalia bike rack on a tow ball. I think it is model BC 60. We have just bought one for carrying two bikes on our car. Superbly made and drops down low to allow you to access the car hatch. It's similar but better made than the Thula racks. The good thing with the Westfalia is that you can purchase a large custom hard sided box to fit the rack. I think it will take up to 60kg. If interested check it out on the web, not cheap though!
