Hello All
Hope someone can help .. cold water tap in camper has developed a leak .
I can see where leak is , cold water tap , but I cant work out how to access it to fix ..
I've unscrewed the bowl and disconnected waste but still cant gain access to fitting .
thanks in advance Aidan

Hi there,
If the tap has a little blue coloured disc on the top just lever it off with a small screwdriver.
Underneath you will see a screw that if unscrewed will reveal the innards of the tap itself.
The leak may be coming from:
o The seal round the stem. In which case just gently tighten the top nut.
o The seal between the cassette and the main body of the tap. In which case it will require removal and replacement of the seal.
o The actual water seal itself in which case the leak can be cured by:
----- Changing the washer on a standard "old style" multi turn tap.
----- Changing the cassette on a modern "ceramic" quarter turn tap.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
PS
If you mean the pipe/tap connection is leaking then .... oh dear! You have a problem!

I managed to tighten a tap connection at arm's length in the narrow space below and to the right of the basin bowl. It is also possible to access that area by removing the upper fridge vent from the outside. I suspect that this plumbing was originally connected via the space now occupied by the fridge, the removal of which is not a massive job. Before embarking on major surgery, phone AS and ask for "technical advice". On a couple of occasions they have been willing and helpful with me.
