Kingham Bed "Daytime position"
When we collected our Kingham we pointed out that the bed did not stay in the daytime Seated position ( it will only stay with a very slightly raised head, like using 2 pillows instead of 1)
The Salesman said it was odd but could be fixed. We also have difficulty getting it totally flat again if it has been raised at all, and always have to do this from the back, opening the rear doors. We assumed a faulty ratcheting system.
We have now been told there is no problem, and it is not supposed to go that upright? All the videos we can find show this "daytime" position of being nearer to a sofa than a bed position, and the other display model they have is also shown with the bed end up - but they have propped it up, it also does not stay in position if you try and sit on it. There are many links and reviews all showing pictures and describing the day time mode for the bed.
Does anyone else have a Kingham? How far up does your bed go in Daytime mode? Do you have any issues making it flat again?
Many Thanks for any advice or comments.

Re: Kingham Bed "Daytime position"
Hi, our Kingham beds works as you expect. However, it is easier to pull from the back (grasp the bar where it hinges) rather than push from inside. It is still possible to push from the inside it it's pouring with rain. It holds its position at different points. It is great if you want an evening watching a film (a rare occurrence to be honest).
To bring it back to fully flat you need to take it to fully upright then the ratchet allows it to be brought back to normal.
So, yes, it does seem that there is a problem with yours. Hope that helps.

Re: Kingham Bed "Daytime position"
Thanks. We were at the dealer yesterday and got a better idea on how to make it fold flat easier ( we probably were not pushing it up far enough) but it still catches often on the lowest click rather than flat.
It does hold on the third position but the mattress slides back down even though it is velcroed to the frame, we need to find a way of holding the mattress in place.
Apart from that though, we still love it. Will see how we get on in France ( and have just had it re-plated so we have more weight capacity so no worries on packing it (and bringing home the French Wine!)
