We use a Vango Kella Standard attached to a Fiamma awning wound out until the sliding door does not interfere with the awning.

The side curtains between the awning and the van are elasticated and can be pegged down so the door just
misses...

Hi Peter j when you unwind the awning at the start with the side door open does it catch or touch the door? Ta

We wind the Fiamma awning out, fit the Vango awning using a Kador strip 6mm - 4mm adaptor, blow the Vango awning up and roughly peg it our then wind the Fiamma awning back in as far as it will go without lifting the Vango awning off the ground.
The Kela standard is not tall enough to use the Kador strip with the Fiamma awning fully retracted.
The rear side curtain would catch on the sliding door if you pegged the bottom of it out too close to the van.  This is not serious because it is elasticated so just gives way to the door but it can push the Kador strip along in it's slot which is not good...
Is that what you mean?

Thanks for that. When we have the side door open and we start to unwind the awning,it drops slightly and catch's the door.so we have to make sure that the door is closed when we unwind the awning and wondered if it wuold affect vango when set up(tall or standard).Ta
