Hi everyone - Happy new Pollensa owner here!
Hi,
Just introducing myself. My name is Richard and I'm the delighted owner (since last Thursday) of a 1998 Auto-Sleeper Pollensa on a Peugeot Boxer. I love the conversion - in fact after I saw one over a year ago I decided not to look at any other models - which is probably why it has taken so long to find this one!
I am a long-term (vehicular) camper, having had a VW Type II for exactly 20 years (and it never gave trouble!) and a fairly professionally converted LDV Convoy for four, which nevertheless didn't quite do the job as well as expected... The Pollensa is absolute luxury - my first proper motorhome - and I'm over the moon with it!
Just doing a few jobs - carpet tiles seem a practical alternative to wasting a huge amount of normal carpet - and then hope to be off in it at the end of the month.
Richard

Hi, Richard
Welcome to the forum from another pair of very satisfied Pollensa owners, currently in Picardie.
We love the layout, only thing we had to do was design a modification to the bulkhead behind the driver's seat so as to get the full stretch of rearward adjustment and tilt to accommodate my 6' height - if that's an issue for you let me know and I'll give you further details.
Once our daughter grew too old to want to holiday with us old fogies, I also modified the overcab bed area slightly to gain more easily accessible bulk storage.
Retrofit cruise control and a Tunit box made this our ideal motorhome so we've kept it for over 11 years and hope to enjoy it for many more to come.
We hope you get as much fun and enjoyment from yours.
cheers
Roger (and Sally-Ann)

from Warrington.
Yes you have a nice van. That was the era when AS started making styrofoam bodied vans, but managed to keep the traditional AS quality innards that the monocoques had. There are a lot of these vans around on both Ford and Peugeot Chassis
