Question about Warwick Duo grill Empty Question about Warwick Duo grill

Post by DavidT Sat May 02, 2015 11:43 am

We have just traded in our Trident for a Warwick Duo. The Warwick has the Spinflo grill and oven. The grill doesn't fully light along its length. The middle section, on both sides, has smaller holes and seems only to light in order to allow the flame to travel to ignite both ends. We end up with proper, adjustable flames both ends but the couple of inches in the middle is not heating up anything. Is this normal? From the size of the holes, it looks as if this was intended but I would like to be sure that it's working properly.

That's exactly the way ours works (makes lovely toast though)

Just to reassure you I've found this on MHFun regarding same problem, seems they are all like that which does seem odd design.

Thanks Paulmold. It seemed a bit odd to me too. It works OK but you have to move things around a bit. I've never come across this before.

It's an improvement on the grill in our Trident. That was across the width of the grill, rather than front to back. It was very difficult to tell if the back half was alight.

Must say that we never use the grill except for toast if not on hook-up and you do have to move the bread around, for anything else the burner seems too far away to cook a steak/burger. On hook up we use a cheap toaster from Argos (£4.49)
