Peugeot Boxer. Empty Peugeot Boxer.

Post by Dave Gallimore Thu 19 Feb 2015 - 23:48

Hi every one out there, my name is David Gallimore, and I live in Cheshire, I have just recently joined the Auto-sleeper Owners Forum, as I have been looking for an Auto sleeper Talisman GX, for the last 12 months,

Could anyone please tell me which is the best Engine to have in a Peugeot boxer, I believe there is a 1.9cc a 2.5cc and a 2.8cc also would I be better buying one with a Turbo? I am looking to buy one about 2001 / 2002,

Many thanks,

David.

The 2.5 TD or 2.8 TD are the wisest choice whilst people will say their 1.9s are ok they are too underpowered for the Talisman and Executive when you meet a hill
We used to have a 2.5TD cos that was biggest available when we got our van but having driven the 2.8TD would choose that every time.   (Still not as nippy as the Ford 2.4TD though)

Hello & welcome from S/Yorks. drinksallround

Mine is a non-turbo, Talisman (2.5D) sure, not as powerful, but you soon get used to it & drive accordingly, also, a much less stressed engine that will (should) go on for years, & of course, a little bit less to go wrong!!
