What have you added to your van ?!!!
I have recently gone berserk and added the following:
1. DAB radio
2. Automatic Oyster Satellite system
3. White wing mirror covers
4. 24" Full HD TV
5. Car-a-tow A-Frame
all the items have made my touring more luxurious but the best has definitely got to be the Satellite system as I have spent hours and hours wasting valuable relaxing time trying to locate on a tripod !! ... now just a push of a button...... brilliant.. love it:allthumbz:
looking for something else to add now !!!

Re: What have you added to your van ?!!!
I ordered heated seats so I guess you could call that an extra, have added 110w solar panel, chrome trim on grill, overmats throughout, put throws on seats and seat covers in cab, front mudflaps created from truck ones as standard sprinter do not fit Worcester.... lots of other improvements though .....
The rattling oven.... fitted a heatproof magnetic catch ( ebay) and a clip on front with rubber pad so no more rattles and no risk of door coming open. Silence is golden!
Little rubber pads on everything that opens, stops the creaking doors!
All bed slats and frames have been drilled and screwed, the stapled jobbies are not up to it, now they slide in and out much better.
Alpine radio cd, usb, ipod thingy though the mercedes one sounds just as good!
Leather steering wheel by Royal Steering Wheels ( brilliant people), I have a thing about steering wheels, it is the bit that connects me to the van so it has to be good!
Spare wheel cover so if I do need it maybe it will be clean at least and the alloy should last better.
If it is an extra several coats of meguiars premium flagship wax, no black streaks, dirt just hoses off, OK it takes time putting it on but well worth it.
Not an extra but any Worcester owner will know there is a waste drain tap on the rear offside corner asking to get knocked off. I cut the pipe to this, put in a flexible section and reattached the tap on a spring clip with the bracket reversed. Now hand underneath, unclip the tap and it just drops down to the floor so everything drains out even if you are at an angle and no danger of knocking it off!
Sure there are other things but .....!
Another super thing ( Marquis Plymouth thank you), water pump in the fresh water tank failed ( not uncommon!) they cut a hole in the side of the tank and fitted a hatch so now if the pump goes wrong again or the prongs on the gauge need attention I just have to undo the hatch and it is done in a jiffy!

Re: What have you added to your van ?!!!
Hi there,
A bit different from everyone else I guess:
o Cruise Control (an absolute must for long journeys with arthritis).
o Automatic Caro satellite dish complete with receiver and TV.
o External TV aerial connection for those sites that have cable laid on.
o Changed fluorescent lights for LEDs (compliments of Lidl) to extend battery time.
o In cab camera that is switched on whenever we leave home.
o The gas supply still uses cylinders but it is now a mixture of butane ("Calor" and "Camping Gaz") and propane ("Calor" only) to give maximum flexibility for climate and also when travelling around Europe.
o Both internal and external "silver screens" to minimise temperature variations.
o This small adaptation to add a bit more security to the sliding door.
Not "fitted" but available for use are:
o 100W portable solar panel.
o 150W 12v to 240v inverter.
o Multi-use portable BBQ/Grill/Stove based on Le Cube system.
o Locks and chain to secure the two front doors.
Out of that lot I think the Cruise Control is the one that I could least do without. It really is a Godsend on long runs, especially on motorways.
Best regards,

Re: What have you added to your van ?!!!
Is that a portable or have you changed the Peugeot radio? If the latter what was the cost? Does it have input by usb or audio jack? Bluetooth? And does it still work with steering wheel controls?
Dab radio
John.
What year is your Broadway?
Thanks

Hi Ron, I fitted a Pure Dab unit that fits to the Screen and plays DAB through existing Radio.
My Broadway is 2014.

Re: What have you added to your van ?!!!
We were vaguely considering adding a satellite dish, similar to that which we had on our previous van...But a tugging friend of ours who spends 3 or 4 months in southern Spain every year, visited us last week and told us he has just heard (from other friends who are there almost permanently) that the footprints have been moved substantially.
The result is that almost no satellite reception is possible in southern Spain and Portugal. Even last year, he used to carry a one and a half metre dish... and had diminishing reception. He has now ditched that, and he has spent a month downloading films and collecting boxed sets of series which they enjoy.
I think I'd settle for a kindle or an Ipad with a kindle app, and an Amazon account!
However, we have added...
Big back box
Roof extractor fan,
Reversing camera (used as a rear driving mirror, due to box)
Thermostatic shower
Roof mounted digital TV aerial (old one was analogue)
A Lillypad mesh awning with membranes (3 kg total weight)
Silver Screens
New main and leisure batteries
Extra cigar sockets on dashboard
GPS

Did you fit a replacement or just stop using the radio?
The reason I ask is that my own roof aerial is also useless but I quite like listening to the radio and wondered how easy it is to replace the current one with one that works!
Best regards,
Ian
