Water pump
Rather than keep taking the motorhome to a tap every time we need water is there any way we can use a 40lt aquaroll from the caravan and a pump to get water into the motorhomes on board tank. Does anyone know where we can get such a thing please

Re: Water pump
If the Midas has an standard water filler you should be able to use a submersible pump but you'll need a 12v feed to the pump
Something like this might be what you need: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321561176556

Re: Water pump
Why not just top up with a watering can,? once you have a full tank by hose, I top up every other day, depends on water consumption of course, could do it once it a day, no trouble, drinking water I have two 5 litre containers, this is what I and some others do, easy. never move the van to get water, defeats the object of easier than a caravan.

Aquaroll and pump does seem rather a lot of hassle. Like Daisie I just top up with a plastic 10ltr container with spout. If your not showering every day this is enough. We also carry water for drinking and in the van.

Re: Water pump
We've been topping up with a wheeled 25ltr container and a submersible pump on the end of a 12v lead ever since owning a motorhome, don't find it a bind, just saves having to move the van to a tap or service point which 90% of the time are on the wrong side of the filler. Similar to this.... we also have another for waste water - it usually ties in together, that we (I) take the waste one for emptying together with the fresh one for filling..

Re: Water pump
In my book that is like having a caravan, which I am pleased to get away from, although we still have one, I haven`t been in it this year, the whole idea is being free from unnecessary chores to make life easier , each to their own though. although I do have a 25litre just for the waste water, depends where I am sited whether I use that or not. then there is storage when travelling, I do not clutter up the toilet compartment with anything. In the end it is what works for you, now I am older I can think of better things to do than fetch water in a separate container .

I was merely pointing out to Cornishpixi that what he/she was proposing to do was perfectly acceptable. I wasn't trying to force my opinions on anyone else. As you say, each to his own.
