Re: Water Pump
I've seen the advert, but remain puzzled. Why is it necessary, or even desirable, to spend money on such a kit? Assuming that one drains the water out of the van before frost - using the drain tap(s) and leaving all taps at sinks and showerhead open, and briefly running the pump to expel as much of remaining water as possible - then there should be very little water left in the system - and in the event that such water freezes, there will be room for expansion as the taps are open. No harm should ensue.
Am I overlooking something significant? Doing the above over decades of UK winters has been successful (save once when I forgot to leave open the showerhead).

Ditto - including the shower head!!
Just my opinion, but I think this is one of those cases where a spurious anxiety is generated so that an expensive, and quite unnecessary remedy can be sold.

Re: Water Pump
And replacing one showerhead - I'll always remember to leave it open in future - is but a fraction of the cost of a drain-down system.

I've also never felt the need for the Flow system.

Re: Water Pump
Must be a good market for replacement shower heads!
Don't feel so bad now I know I'm in a select club!
Also agree about the need for them, in many years of motorhoming not had a problem (apart from my own making)

Re: Water Pump
As well as leaving the taps open I blow back down them with my mouth. Theory is it will remove any remaining water from the tap.

You haven't seen the size of my mouth!
Actually I unscrewed the head and just blew down the hose.
