Milenco Mirror Guard Protectors
Just wondering if anyone has any experience of the Milenco mirror protectors? As many of you know I had a pair of Mirror Guards which did very little to protect our mirror in a passing collision in France last year, as a result the mirror had to be replaced anyway which was disappointing when the guards cost £120 a pair!
The Milenco protectors are half the price of the mirror guards and I think represent better value for money... I spoke to a Nuevo owner at the Lincoln show who had fitted a pair and I think he said they were made from aluminium? So I guess they are just like a shell that fits over the mirror to offer a little added protection.

Hi CC
Yes I have them on my Sigma, they are lighter in construction with thinner foam pads, the dealership put them on, otherwise I would have purchased the original mirror guards.
The ones fitted to my Nuevo survived three hits before the drivers side finally broke in pieces.

Thanks Boaby, are they aluminium like I was told? What are your thoughts compared to the mirror guards? Would you say they are fine or worth paying the extra over the Milenco protectors? Don't suppose you could take a close up pic (if it's not too much bother) could you for me?

Re: Milenco Mirror Guard Protectors
I would fit them if they were available to fit Merc Sprinter mirrors (but nobody makes these, except stainless steel ones or mirror effect that I dont want - all this would do is look like the hedge I'm passing).
I want them to be bright white and painfully obvious to white van man racing through narrow country lanes, so he might see them and try to miss hitting them. Yes, I had to cover up this type of damage done to my Fiat Ducato a couple of days before I traded it in. I'd like to get hold of that ^%(^&_(*&) person.
Regards, Barry.

I've fitted mirror guards and fitted white reflecting tape to them.

Hi CC
I prefer the Original mirror guards I had fitted to my Nuevo , the Milenco protectors are made of thinner white plastic, they look just the same .
I don't think they would survive an impact like the original guards, as I said earlier it took three hits to destroy the drivers side mirror guard.
Look on the Milenco website if you need a quick picture of the mirror guards as my camera is in/op at this time.

Re: Milenco Mirror Guard Protectors
I've fitted the Milenco guards to our Nuevo. I didn't think the foam pads behind them was thick enough, so I used stick-on foam twice as thick, there is still movement between the mirror and guard, but now with more cushioning. Mike
