Gas Tank Guage
Our warwick xl has a refillable gas tank, all works well.
Except.........
The guage shows full and drops as you would expect - but when it shows Empty the tank will only take about 10 litres - ie it is in fact still half full.
Is this normal? it is a bit of a nuisance, our previous van had 2 cylinders both with gauges so it was much easier to know when to get more gas. With this one I either fill when it says empty - in which case the tank may as well be half the size it is! Or I guess and risk running out????
My question is, is this normal behaviour or is it a fault?
Thanks

Re: Gas Tank Guage
This is normal. We have a Sussex Duo that behaves the same. Up and down like a fiddlers elbow! Last trip out , gauge registered between half and three quarters ,(we were in the Scttish highlands) so decided to fill . Managed 3 litres!!! Our wise way is always to top up below three quarters , Agree, great system.

Re: Gas Tank Guage
If you do a search this was discussed very recent and it was something to do with how level the tanks were fitted.

Re: Gas Tank Guage
Just read the other thread. I thought I had done a search but obviously not well enough.
So it seems the inadequacy of the guage is normal.
However I find it hard to accept that in these days of high technology they could not do better.
I also use an LPG cylinder, 2000 ltrs, at home, and the guage on that is pretty accurate and reliable. Yes I know its static and that will make a float design easier but it could be sorted on a moving vehicle if someone thought it was important enough!
Otherwise the system is excellent, far better than carrying gas cylinders around.
