Satellite dome on a Broadway
I am considering a Glomex dome (I had a camos on a narrowboat) but I wonder if the roof sides will impact - does anyone know?

Sat Dome
Derek you may have seen my post some time ago on this subject. Road Pro suggest that the roof profile "might" attenuate the signal but are not sure. Auto Sleeper have not replied to my email query on the subject and I tried phoning today but had to leave a message "nobody at home". I am going to see if an installer is willing to just lay a receiver dome on the roof and connect the wires temporarily through the windows. Road Pro have said they will accept a return if this test fails.
I realise that this may not be conclusive but signal strength can be measured at the proposed location on the roof and also when it is elevated above the high sides. It may be an expensive exercise but I see little option.

I have a 40cm Roadpro dome on my Talisman roof, ok, its flat & has no obstructions, BUT, I recon one WILL work on yours as the signal does not come
to the lnb/dish from the horizontal, but from high enough to miss the raised part of the roof molding, so unless you're aiming for satellites on the
horizon, I think it will work ok.

Satellite Dome on Suffolk
After lots of deliberation and mixed advice I took the plunge and had a 40cm Road Pro Dome fitted with a Visitron receiver.
The reception is excellent and speed of lock very fast(15-20 seds) I have only used it in SE of England at the moment but
I'm off through France to N Spain on Saturday. i will report back.
Points to note: There are lots more channels than Sky and I get HD where available
I've only used the Astra south satellite. there are about four more available ( Mostly foreign though)
Road Pro offer 5% discount to Camping club Members.
I had it fitted by a Road Pro certified fitter. --£280.00.

Re: Satellite Dome / Omni directional TV
I have just returned from a six week venture through France to the Costa Brava. My 40cm satellite Dome aerial has performed exactly as it was designed.
I used the astra 1 south satellite and I had a huge selection of UK programs to watch. ITV reception was always available but BBC was not good in Spain.
Yes heavy rain does affect the reception but the dome excels in strong winds.
Expensive .....Yes but it provided what I was looking for.
