Duetto Bathroom Sink Problem Empty Duetto Bathroom Sink Problem

Post by JustChillin Sun Jun 22, 2014 7:32 pm

Help needed please,
I am away in my 1995 Ford Duetto and have just trod in water outside the bathroom,
And have traced the leak to the dropdown sink it had been making a hissing sound every so often but now i can hear a drip drip noise coming from i presume the back of the taps.
Can anybody advise me on how to get at the taps , as it all seems to be enclosed and i don't want to break anything,
the sink its self seems ok.
Am on a lovely site just outside Looe in Cornwall...

Here's hoping somebody can help...

If its like the symphony we had, access is by removing the back panel (from the rear door side.)

Hi Mrs JustChillin,

Do not know if you have got the problem sorted, but thought I would just let you know that we also had a problem in the bathroom similar to yours.  We thought ourselves that we would have to go from the back but a chappy that does our habitation check sorted it for us.   All he did was to take the sink from the wall (I assume that he unscrewed this) and at the back were the pipes.  The jubilee clip keeping the pipe attached had come loose, all he did was to tighten this and since then we have had no problem.

He said perhaps this had come loose with the vibration when driving.

Hi Paulmold and HildaB,

Thank you both for your messages,
I will when I get home have a go at taking the sink off the wall,
And let you know how I get on..
Once again thank you both..

Just a thought, when you empty the sink can you hear the water drain away into the waste tank? If the pipe to the tank was blocked you would get water  everywhere and it might drip for a bit. It is easy to pull the sink out and check that it drains correctly
