400mm roof vent replacement.
Hi to all,
I'm looking to replace the roof vent in our van ( Standard MPK 400mm as fitted to symbol from new.) as i've repaired it a few times over the years.
I know a few people on this forum that have replaced them with mini heki's, but I had one of these on my previous van and they only hinge from the front, where the mpk can be open in one of 4 positions. This is handy if the wind/rain is blowing in a certain direction when parked up.
I've just seen this MPK vent on ebay, Has anyone fitted one of these?

Any help would be appreciated.
Tim.

That new MPK one says it has a ratchet opening system, are you sure it is still 4-way opening. That's a good price though, as someone else is listing just the dome alone for that price.

Hi Paulmold. It says 5 way opening:5 way push up mechanism with sprung telescopic arms in the details.
1 more than you wanted!

Yes Boxermans one says that but the one Dogseal refers to does not.

Re: 400mm roof vent replacement.
Compare the price.
I made my enquiry to A/S parts dept 2 says ago.
They will only supply the whole MPK unit.
The cost quoted was 400 x 400 roof light @ £56.75 + vat
carriage was £12.50 + vat
Like it says on the TV - you do the maths.

Re: 400mm roof vent replacement.
Hi to all, just an update on the roof vent replacement.
I finally got one from Towsure here in Sheffield, but returned it ( cheers Towsure ) as the facia that fits to the inside of the van would have had to be cut away to clear the overhead cupboards...no problem with the depth of the facia/ washroom door clearance though... I would have fitted it but SWMBO threw one. Quiet life & all that.
Just a heads up for all old shape symbol owners.
