Sussex Duo Gas Isolation
Having had our (new) Sussex Duo for several months I am concerned that the gas from the underfloor tank is "live" up to the (3)gas taps under the draining board, the BBQ point on the outside and the gas filler point on the outside. If I smell gas and all taps in the van are "off" is there a convenient isolation point?
Any comments would be welcome.

The underfloor tank has an isolation valve located under the aluminium cover in the middle of the tank. Unscrew the hand knob holding the cover on and you will be able to close the valve.

Many thanks for reply. I thought that was the answer. My concern is if the van is on grass the slight sinking of the wheels, especially if the grass is wet, would prevent crawling under the van to access valve.

Re: Sussex Duo Gas Isolation
I must admit that its quite awkward to access the isolation valve as its on the tank itself, but how else to do it??
I've even contacted Gas-it & asked if an electric option is available, but they said no due to the high current required to hold the solenoid, which would soon kill the leisure battery, so mine is also 'on' permanently but 'off' at the manifold in the cupboard.

Spent sleepless nights in our previous van (Mondial) worrying over the lack of passenger air bag safety for my wife. Changed to present van Sussex Duo. Air bag problem solved. Now I spend sleepless nights worrying about not being able to turn off gas!

I think you will find the posts in the thread linked above of interest.
In summary the AS specified gas isolation points on a fixed tank installation are the individual red isolation taps inside the van.
If you do suspect a leak between the tank and those taps then you do need to find a skinny volunteer to go under and turn off on the tank.
Has anyone ever HAD to turn off the tap on an AS original equipment gas tank?

Did it once to as I thought I need to satisfy the requirements of Eurotunnel. Waste of time, guy was not interested when I explained what I had done. Satisfied with my word. Been through a few times now, and just turn off the 3 taps in the cupboard and they are happy, although they do not normally check. But we are sensible people ( I think!!) and do try to adhere to the regs

Re: Sussex Duo Gas Isolation
We have just had our annual habitation service and the people switched off the gas by using the yellow tap next to the regulator. Unfortunately they did not turn it on again at the end which lead to a mild panic just before going abroad, until they told me what had been done. Having just returned I have to say that we just used the three taps and the isolating tap for the BBQ in the nearside bed compartment.
This tap is again under the van but not too difficult to get at IF DRY.
