Re: solar panel isolation
What about fitting a switched relay (30Amp) in the positive feed from the solar panel to the leisure battery. It can then be switched off as you require. You will need cable, a 30amp relay and a small switch. The switch itself only uses a very small amout of current to operate it, what you are switching inside the relay is the main feed from the panel to the leisure battery. Wiring info supplied if required. Another way is to (in a convienent place) cut the main positive feed from the solar panel to the leisure battery and fit a fuse holder (fully insulated). When you want the solar panel disconnected remove the fuse.

Re: solar panel isolation
Easiest way ... Do it at night when panels are generating no voltage.
You’ll need a torch of course

Re: solar panel isolation
As Paul says cover it with ply or cardboard.
My supplier (Photonic) once told me they don't care about being open circuit anyway, but cover it anyway just in case.

Or don’t have the trouble of going up and down the steps with ply or cardboard and do it at night

Re: solar panel isolation
It may not work for the 2005 model but for the 2019 model with the EC700 power control system, disconnect from the EHU and on the CP switch the solar charging from smart i.e both batteries to the vehicle battery and for good measure make the vehicle battery the active battery.
